Responsibilities

The Loan Operations Specialist performs a variety of clerical duties in conjunction with loan servicing that may include scanning and filing documents, loan boarding, processing payoffs, perfecting lien documents, and calculations and disbursements of escrow accounts. Other responsiblities include:

  • Processes and boards incoming loan packages
  • Perfects liens and processes lien releases
  • Maintains loan files and records
  • Prepares various reports
  • Reviews documents for and reports for completeness and accuracy
  • Performs mathematical calculations and disbursement of escrow accounts
  • Provides a high level of customer service for internal and external customers
  • Reports issues to bank personnel; sends notifications; reports progress, quotas, collection items and updates lists

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED
  • General knowledge of various loan documentation, banking, bankruptcy or insurance servicing

Skills:

  • Requires ability to handles complex and difficult customer problems; develop customer relationships; apply bank's policies and procedures and other guidelines
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and MS Word; basic keyboarding and calculator skills; must be able to do simple math and carry out written instructions
  • Work occasionally requires more than 40 hours per week to perform the essential functions of the position
  • Lifting in an office setting may be required up to 30 lbs,
