    The role of the Risk Management Governance Specialist is to support the design, implementation and administration of the enterprise risk management framework and related risk governance functions, with the objective of providing the organization with information needed to make strategic business decisions. The role works collaboratively with business lines and other risk functions to apply the framework in a consistent and integrated manner, supporting the effective identification, assessment, monitoring and reporting of existing, evolving and emerging risks.

    • Provides support for and participates in risk management committees, aggregating materials for committee reports, taking minutes, administering the committee meetings and maintaining charters
    • Manages updates to risk management framework, risk appetite, policies and programs
    • Monitors qualitative and quantitative measurements against the established risk appetite
    • Manages the Bank’s inventory of policy, program and charter documentation
    • Maintains a central repository for risk issues and related action plans
    • Supports risk and control assessment activities and other risk management related initiatives
    • Maintains strong partnerships with internal stakeholders
    • Analyzes data and prepares management reports as necessary


    • High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree business, finance, or related field preferred
    • 5 years organizational/project management experience


    • Experience taking meeting minutes and preparing reports
    • Advanced technical writing skills
    • Working knowledge of banking principles, enterprise risk management and risk assessment methodologies, and related regulatory and legal requirements
    • Experience analyzing data and developing reports to summarize findings
    • Ability to understand and prioritize issues and communicate to senior management and other key stakeholders
    • Team player with flexible attitude toward problem solving and changing priorities
    • Ability to make strategic recommendations for improvement
    • Strong organizational ability and extremely detail oriented
    • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
    • Work occasionally requires more than 40 hours per week to perform the essential functions of the position
    • Lifting in an office setting may be required up to 30lbs.
