    Responsibilities

    The Information Security Risk Analyst is responsible for planning, design, enforcement and audit of security policies and procedures which safeguard the integrity of and access to enterprise systems, files and data elements. Recognizes and identifies potential areas where existing data security policies and procedures require change, or where new ones need to be developed, especially regarding future business expansion. This includes:

    • Executing periodic reporting and the execution of operational and risk assigned tasks.
    • Monitors and responds to information security related events and manages security incidents to resolution
    • Writes and delivers reports to direct management
    • Performs threat hunting activities, investigates/responds to indications of compromise/attack
    • Administers cybersecurity awareness training programs, including monthly newsletters
    • Develops and delivers customer cyber security awareness materials
    • Administers assessments of information security program and supporting controls identifying, documenting and reporting information security risks to management.
    • Reports on vendor security component of the vendor management program and works directly with vendors on any required remediation
    • Manages the vulnerability management program and the security related systems including IPS, firewalls, URL filtering, Email, endpoint security, etc.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent educational/work experience
    • 5 years in a security/risk/IT related role
    • Security/Audit certification Security+, CISSP, CISA, GIAC or other SANS certifications
    • Must be knowledgeable in all aspects of information security to include cloud security, IAM, network security, endpoint security, SEIM technologies, incident response, etc.; requires strong communication and customer service skills to effectively communicate and enable a matrix type environment

     

    Skills:  

    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and MS Word; basic keyboarding and calculator skills; must be able to do simple math and carry out written instructions.
    • Working conditions are generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work occasionally requires more than 40 hours per week to perform the essential functions of the position
    • Lifting in an office setting may be required up to 30lbs.
