Responsibilities

The Employee Benefits Account Associate assists Account Managers with a variety of tasks in the upkeep of customer accounts and records including preparation of printed material to be give to the customer.   Responsibilities include:

 

  • Assisting Account Managers in the maintenance of account documentation
  • Issues necessary certificates and other proofs of insurance coverage
  • Processes endorsements, policies, audits and cancellations
  • Documents activity with carriers and clients in agency management system
  • Performs clerical duties as assigned

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED; Associate's Degree preferred
  • 1 year of experience in the insurance field
  • TDI General Agents - L&H license or ability to obtain within 180 days of employment

Skills

  • Handles the correspondence and processing of accounts including applications and file maintenance
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products - Microsoft Excel and MS Word
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task efficiently
  • Ability to prioritize work assignments
  • Basic keyboarding and calculator skills
  • Willing to expand knowledge of insurance through continuing education
  • Must be able to do simple math and carry out written instructions.
  • Work occasionally requires more than 40 hours per week to perform the essential functions of the position
  • Lifting in an office setting may be required up to 30lbs.
