Responsibilities

The Marketing Manager is responsible for the bank’s marketing and advertising activities as well as promoting the bank’s image internally and/or externally. This position builds and maintains strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Aligned with the bank’s strategic plan, this position develops and coordinates marketing communications, advertising, and promotional activities through both digital and traditional marketing. Additionally, this position contributes to the total effectiveness of the department through effective budgeting, communication, needs assessment, problem solving, proactivity offering creative solutions, and managing others.

  • Creates, develops and executes the bank’s marketing plan with specific strategic goals to generate revenue, build brand awareness, and maximize exposure to target businesses and consumers through online, print, and other channels as needed
  • Enhances and manages website and direct mail programs, copywriting and proofing all site text
  • Manages projects from concept to delivery; effective management of scope, milestones, deadlines, and costs
  • Manages budgets, schedules resources, and prioritizes to achieve marketing objectives
  • Establishes policies, procedures, and appropriate controls for area of responsibility
  • Manages marketing agency and vendor relationships
  • Generates project reports, tracking, and status updates
  • Managers staff through consistent coaching and development plans

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent educational/work experience. MBA is preferred
  • 10 years of marketing experience in traditional and digital formats. Marketing experience in the finance or banking industry is preferred.
  • 5 years managerial/supervisory experience including managing outside vendors and services.

Skills

  • Ability to analyze and interpret both analytical and creative information
  • Strong verbal and written communication, customer service, organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills
  • Personal leadership skills
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and MS Word
  • Basic keyboarding and calculator skills
  • Must be able to perform advanced math and carry out complex written instructions
  • Willing to travel to a variety of locations to perform work and/or attend meetings
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs in an office setting
